Adobe Flash to be renamed to Adobe Animate CC

With the new standard HTML5, Adobe Flash will be no more and shall be reborn as Adobe Animate CC.

It will be released in early 2016.

ImageShack to delete images from free accounts

Please read carefully the following email I received from ImageShack:

 

Disable the annoying notification "Get Windows 10"

If you are beign plagued by the "Get Windows 10 "notification, get rid of it following this guy's instructions:

If you just want to remove the tray icon until the next restart you can terminate the GWX.exe process using Task Manager.

To get rid of the icon permanently, uninstall KB3035583 which is responsible for these notifications: Control panel, windows update, installed updates, sort by name, "Update for Microsoft Windows KB3035583" (not a Security Update), uninstall, reboot.
(Alternative: open CMD and enter wusa /uninstall /KB:3035583)

When you're offered the same again via Windows Update remember to hide it.

After uninstalling, if remnants of the update's files are still in Windows\System32\GWX, just delete that directory, although first you may need to take ownership of it.

Ceiling Lamp Cover from a Coca-Cola Can

1. Get any aluminum can, I chose Coca-Cola.

2. Tools: knife, awl precision screwdriver, nail clipper.

3. Make lots of holes  all over the can with the awl precision screwdriver.

4. Cut a big hole with the knife and cut the remainings with the nail clipper.

5. Get 2x twist ties or aluminum string.

6. Use the knife to strip off the cover layer.

7. Tie the aluminum strings to the can.

8. Tie the other ends to the ceiling lamp base.

9. Before: A Ceiling Lamp annoying for my eyes.

10. After: Ceiling Lamp with Cover from a Coca-Cola Can.

11. A 7up can with same procedure.

 

12. Put it anywhere too..

Defrag and Optimize a Disk

To fully improve disk performance, defragmentation is needed, following by optimization. 

Before defragmenting the disk, it is recommended to check the disk for errors and clean it. 

This way you avoid corrupting files.

Scan the disk from Command Prompt or startup.

Use CCleaner to clean the disk and junk files.

The tool I use to defragment is Auslogics Disk Defrag.

After analyzing disks, the second disk is 60% fragmented.

I clicked on Defrag and Optimize and wait (may take minutes or hours). 

When finished it went to 0% fragmentation.

Free space went up by 1.02 GB on disk 1 and 13.35 GB disk 2, which is excellent.

I recommend to first Analyze disk and then Defragment.

 The Optimize feature may take long, but improves performance.

How to Root an Asus Memo Pad HD 7 (me173x) and Extras

I'm going to show you How to Root an Asus Memo Pad HD 7 (me173x).

EXTRA: Verify Root, and install Busybox, Root Browser, AdAway and Linux Deploy.

1. Download Framaroot from xda-developers at the end of the post.

2. Check your firmware, I used ME173X_US_user_4.2.4.04152_20140714 release keys.

3. Run the Framaroot apk and an exploit, I chose Faramir.
Then, REBOOT the device, that's it!

 NOTE: If android warns you about security risk, 
go to Settings > Security and check Unknown Sources.

4. To check if it worked install Root Checker Advanced.

5. You probably don't have BusyBox so install it and run it.

6. Check if BusyBox installed correctly.



7. Install Root Browser, a root file manager.

8. Install AdAway to block all annoying ads/popups.

9. See those example ads.

10. No more ads/popups!

11. Install Linux Deploy, to run a Linux OS.

12. Read the Linux Deploy description above.

13. Select the button with the down arrow to download the OS. 
Then, click Start and change the default password.

14. Install a VNC viewer, I used bVNC.

15. Here is a preview of Linux running in my tablet.
NOTE: If it didn't work or have issues try Complete Linux installer.

16. Install Terminal Emulator to work from a terminal.

That's it! You now have a rooted tablet without ads and  running Linux!

Using an AAA battery as a Stylus Pen

I read on an article of DIY Stylus Pen with some methods.

I decided to use an old AAA battery and other junkies.

The (-) side of the battery woks perfect on my tab.

How I charged my phone when I lost it's charger

I lost my celphone charger, so I found an old 

charger of the same brand and charged it directly.

Red cable in the (+) of battery. Black cable in the (-) of battery.

WARNING: Do not overcharge or you will damage the battery.

• Can't edit startup processes.
• Altec Lansing Speakers/Subwoofer in mono, not stereo. Trying this guide of Beats Audio.

Grub menu for Windows / Lubuntu

My wifi constantly disconects while downloading or watching videos, also happened in my android tablet. This solved my problem http://askubuntu.com/a/500421.

Windows 8.1 - 64bit failed me after updating nvidia driver, i'm lucky to have linux.

Laptop speakers and subwoofer doesn't have stereao quality, i'm using headphones.

When i login this window came up (System program problem detected).
